Job summary

Aptiv seeks an experienced Functional Safety Software Developer for Cockpit/Display/UX to work on safety-critical embedded software for digital cockpit, infotainment, and user-experience platforms. You will implement ISO 26262, ASPICE processes, and integrate AUTOSAR components on high-performance automotive hardware.

The role requires hands-on Embedded C/C++ development, QNX/Embedded Linux, and experience with Renesas/Qualcomm/NXP SoCs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related disciplines.
• 6–10 years of automotive embedded software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Embedded C/C++.
• Experience with AUTOSAR software architecture and integration.
• Experience implementing ISO 26262 Functional Safety requirements.
• Experience with ASPICE SWE.1 through SWE.6.
• Experience working with QNX and/or Embedded Linux.
• Experience working on Renesas, Qualcomm, or NXP SoC platforms.
• Strong debugging and software integration experience.

YOUR ROLE

As a Functional Safety Software Developer – Cockpit / Display / UX, you will work on safety-critical software for digital cockpit, infotainment, display, and user experience platforms. You will play a key role in developing embedded software solutions that combine Functional Safety requirements with high-performance automotive computing platforms.

YOUR BACKGROUND

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related disciplines.
• 6-10 years of automotive embedded software development experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience in Embedded C/C++.
• Experience with AUTOSAR software architecture and integration.
• Experience implementing ISO 26262 Functional Safety requirements.
• Experience with ASPICE SWE.1 through SWE.6.
• Experience working with QNX and/or Embedded Linux.
• Experience working on Renesas, Qualcomm, or NXP SoC platforms.
• Strong debugging and software integration experience.

Highly Preferred

• Experience in Digital Cockpit, Instrument Cluster, Infotainment, Display, HMI, or User Experience systems.
• Vector DaVinci experience.
• EB Tresos configuration experience.
• MCAL integration experience.li>
• DFA (Dependent Failure Analysis).
• FTA (Fault Tree Analysis).
• Experience with display controllers, graphics pipelines, and SoC-based architectures.

Please Note This role requires hands‑on experience in automotive embedded software development. Candidates with direct experience in Cockpit, Display, Infotainment, HMI, or UX platforms and strong Functional Safety exposure will be preferred.
