Job summary

Qualifications

We are hiring for the role of Functional Engineer - PLM at Pune (Hybrid role), below are additional details as required.

Skills Required - Any PLM tool, Business Analysis, Requirements Gathering, Azure Devops, API's, Functional role etc.

The Functional Engineer supports business applications within the formulation management domain, ensuring they effectively enable R&D processes and are ready for manufacturing.

The role focuses on understanding business needs, translating them into functional solutions, and supporting the delivery and continuous improvement of applications. You work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to ensure solutions are reliable, scalable, and aligned with organizational standards.

The Functional Engineer translates business requirements into functional specifications and supports their implementation, ensuring solutions are stable, sustainable, and aligned with architectural and security standards.

The role includes supporting testing activities, coordinating business validation, and ensuring proper release of changes. The Engineer also supports incident resolution by analyzing issues, identifying root causes, and coordinating fixes.

In addition, the Functional Engineer contributes to continuous improvement and project delivery by monitoring performance, collaborating with architects and stakeholders, and supporting implementation activities.

• Comfortable working in complex IT environments with multiple systems and integrations
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new applications and business domains

Functional knowledge

• Experience in requirements gathering, process analysis, and functional design
• Understanding of enterprise applications and system-driven processes
• Basic understanding of APIs, integrations, and data validation concepts
• Experience working with end-to-end process flows across multiple systems
• Experience configuring or supporting standard business applications across design, build, and test phases
• Ability to coordinate work with external vendors and development teams
• Familiarity with formulation, product lifecycle, or regulatory processes in a manufacturing context is a plus

• Experience with Azure DevOps and/or ServiceNow
• Familiarity with modeling techniques (e.g., BPMN, UML, ERD, ArchiMate)
• Experience working in R&D, manufacturing, or regulated environments
• Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies
