Job summary

Kyndryl is seeking a Functional Analyst to support remediation, enhancements, and maintenance across Open Banking APIs, Mobile Banking, Web Banking, and related platforms. You will analyze issues, define solutions, and ensure delivery of high‑quality digital banking services.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of Business Analysis experience in the European banking domain, strong documentation skills, and hands‑on experience with API integrations and production support.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in digital banking business analysis.
• Proven ability to gather requirements and produce functional docs.
• Experience with incident management and remediation in production.
• Strong knowledge of Open Banking, API integrations, and customer journeys.

The Role

The Functional Analyst will be responsible for supporting remediation, enhancement, technical support and maintenance activities across Open Banking APIs, Mobile Banking, Web Banking, and Custom Online Banking Application platforms. The role requires strong functional expertise, technical understanding, and testing capabilities to analyze issues, define solutions, support development teams, and ensure successful delivery of high‑quality digital banking services.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for remediation and enhancement initiatives.
• Perform impact analysis for incidents, defects, regulatory changes, and platform upgrades.
• Create and maintain functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and business rules.
• Act as the liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, QA teams, and production support teams.
• Support defect triage, root cause analysis, and solution validation activities.
• Ensure solutions comply with banking regulations, security requirements, and digital banking standards.
• Analyze and document API integration requirements and customer journeys across digital channels.
• Support remediation of functional defects and service disruptions in Open Banking, Mobile Banking, and Web Banking platforms.
• Validate integrations with authentication, payment, account information, and third‑party provider services.
• Review and analyze end‑to‑end digital banking processes and customer experiences.
• Assist in identifying process improvements and optimization opportunities.

Online banking Application Functional Expertise

• Possess in‑depth knowledge of all how mobile technology works functionalities and detailed end‑to‑end business flows.
• Analyze customer journeys, user interactions, and transaction processing workflows within mobile and web banking.
• Support business users by providing functional expertise on platform capabilities and processes.
• Define functional solutions and remediation approaches for defects and enhancement requests.

Online banking Application Technical Support

• Possess a strong understanding of web application architecture and development concepts.
• Support developers during technical analysis by translating business requirements into technical expectations.
• Participate in solution design discussions and review technical specifications.
• Assist in analyzing integration points, APIs, front‑end components, and backend interactions.
• Collaborate closely with development teams during remediation activities.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Independently create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Manage test case upload and maintenance in test management tools.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing activities.
• Validate remediation fixes and ensure no impact on existing functionalities.
• Track defects, perform retesting, and support defect resolution until closure.
• Produce testing reports and evidence for audit and compliance requirements.

Required Technical and Professional Experience

• Seeking an experienced Business Analyst with expertise in Digital Banking, Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, and Open Banking within the European banking domain.
• Solid experience in requirements gathering, business analysis, and functional documentation with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to understand, document, and optimize complex banking workflows, customer journeys, and end‑to‑end business processes.
• Hands‑on experience in incident management, defect analysis, remediation projects, and production support.
