Job description

ROLE

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for remediation and enhancement initiatives.
• Perform impact analysis for incidents, defects, regulatory changes, and platform upgrades.
• Create and maintain functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and business rules.
• Act as the liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, QA teams, and production support teams.
• Support defect triage, root cause analysis, and solution validation activities.
• Ensure solutions comply with banking regulations, security requirements, and digital banking standards.
• Analyze and document API integration requirements and customer journeys across digital channels.
• Support remediation of functional defects and service disruptions in Open Banking, Mobile Banking, and Web Banking platforms.
• Validate integrations with authentication, payment, account information, and third-party provider services.
• Review and analyze end-to-end digital banking processes and customer experiences.
• Assist in identifying process improvements and optimization opportunities.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of mobile technology works, functionalities, and detailed end-to-end business flows.
• Analyze customer journeys, user interactions, and transaction processing workflows within mobile and web banking.
• Support business users by providing functional expertise on platform capabilities and processes.
• Define functional solutions and remediation approaches for defects and enhancement requests.
• Possess a strong understanding of web application architecture and development concepts.
• Support developers during technical analysis by translating business requirements into technical expectations.
• Participate in solution design discussions and review technical specifications.
• Assist in analyzing integration points, APIs, front-end components, and backend interactions.
• Collaborate closely with development teams during remediation activities.
• Independently create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Manage test case upload and maintenance in test management tools.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing activities.
• Validate remediation fixes and ensure no impact on existing functionalities.
• Track defects, perform retesting, and support defect resolution until closure.
• Produce testing reports and evidence for audit and compliance requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

• Experienced Business Analyst with expertise in Digital Banking, Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, and Open Banking within the European banking domain.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, business analysis, and functional documentation with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to understand, document, and optimize complex banking workflows, customer journeys, and end-to-end business processes.
• Hands-on experience in incident management, defect analysis, remediation projects, and production support activities.
• Good knowledge of web technologies, application development concepts, REST APIs, JSON, OAuth/Open Banking standards, and web services.
• Proficient in analyzing application logs, integrations, interfaces, basic database queries, and troubleshooting application issues.
• Experienced in test case creation, SIT, UAT, regression testing, production validation, and defect tracking tools, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with business and development teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, reporting, and stakeholder management skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Hands‑on experience in Digital Channels transformation and remediation programs.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Knowledge of PSD2, Open Banking regulations, and API ecosystems.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with business, technology, and operations stakeholders across cross-functional teams.
