Job summary

Circolife in Thane, India, seeks a hands-on junior Software Engineer (Full-Stack) with 2–3 years of experience to join a small product team building SaaS products using Node.js backends, React/Next.js frontends, and MongoDB/PostgreSQL databases.

You will pair with a senior engineer, own small features end-to-end, and grow into APIs, integrations, and production debugging, while valuing reliable shipping, clear communication, and fast learning.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals.
• Hands-on Node.js + Express and REST API design/consumption.
• React.js (Next.js a plus) components, state, API integration.
• MongoDB or PostgreSQL: modeling, queries, basic performance awareness.
• Git, PR workflow, and comfort reading others' code.
• JWT/auth, validation, and basic API security awareness.
• Ability to own a feature slice from requirement to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Node.js / Express REST APIs (auth, CRUD, integrations, webhooks).
• Work with MongoDB and PostgreSQL: schemas, queries, indexes, basic migrations.
• Ship React / Next.js UI when the feature needs it—forms, dashboards, internal tools.
• Integrate third-party services with guidance on auth and error handling.
• Write clean, tested, reviewable code; participate in Git PRs and code review.
• Debug production issues with logs, repro steps, and fixes beyond local dev.
• Support workers/cron, simple ETL/data jobs, and basic AWS/Docker deployment flows.
• Collaborate with product/design; turn unclear asks into shippable slices.
• Learn applied AI patterns (LLM APIs, tool use, simple agents) under senior review.

What youll do

• Build and maintain Node.js / Express REST APIs (auth, CRUD, integra¢ons, webhooks).

Must have (23 years)

• 23 years shipping produc¢on web so¢ware (not only coursework or internships).
• Strong JavaScript / TypeScript fundamentals.
• Hands-on Node.js + Express (or similar) and REST API design/consump¢on.
• React.js (Next.js a plus) components, state, API integra¢on.
• MongoDB or PostgreSQL: modeling, queries, basic performance awareness.
• Git, PR workow, and comfort reading others code.
• JWT/auth, valida¢on, and basic API security awareness.
• Ability to own a feature slice from requirement PR deploy with review.
• Clear wri¢en/spoken English; asks ques¢ons when stuck.

Good to have

• React Native or mobile API consumption.
