JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Senior Full Stack Developer

A Senior Full Stack Developer is a key player in our software development process, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining web and mobile applications across the full stack. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic and collaborative team. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in front-end development with ReactJS, Next.js, TypeScript, and responsive CSS, along with hands‑on experience building cross‑platform mobile apps in React Native (Expo). On the back end, they are proficient in Node.js and TypeScript, and can design, develop, and deploy scalable, efficient services on AWS using both containers (ECS Fargate) and serverless (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB), backed by PostgreSQL for relational data.

Responsibilities

Full Stack Development

Lead end‑to‑end development of web and mobile applications, from concept to deployment. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver high‑quality solutions.

Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, and deployment.

Troubleshoot and debug issues across the entire stack to ensure smooth functionality. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to suggest improvements and innovations.

Front‑end Development

Develop and maintain user interfaces using ReactJS, Next.js, and TypeScript. Build and maintain cross‑platform mobile screens with React Native (Expo), sharing types and logic with the web app.

Implement responsive CSS (Tailwind / NativeWind) to ensure an optimal experience across devices and screen sizes.

Apply modern state management (React Query / Context / Redux) in complex applications. Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement design specifications and enhance user interactions.

Back‑end Development

Design, implement, and maintain scalable, efficient server‑side services in Node.js and TypeScript. Design, develop, and deploy services on AWS using both containers (ECS Fargate) and serverless (AWS Lambda, API Gateway).

Architecture Design

Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to design decisions across front‑end, mobile, and back‑end systems. Define and enforce coding standards, development patterns, and best practices. Ensure the scalability, maintainability, and performance of the overall system architecture. Contribute to infrastructure‑as‑code using AWS CDK (TypeScript).

Testing

Write and advocate for automated tests unit and integration as a standard part of the definition of done, not an afterthought. Ensure critical paths (data models, API endpoints, lifecycle/business rules) are covered by meaningful tests. Contribute to test tooling and keep the suite fast and reliable in CI.

Task Management

Translate business rules, desired functionality, and functional specs into well‑scoped development tasks. Estimate, design, and implement those tasks as clean, reviewable code.

Project Management

Work with product/project managers to estimate effort, plan releases, and deliver on time. Break complex work into manageable, independently shippable tasks. Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to align technical work with product goals.

Quality Assurance

Define and enforce testing strategies that keep the application reliable and stable. Champion automated testing processes and tooling across the team.

Communication

Act as a bridge between technical and non‑technical team members. Clearly articulate technical concepts, trade‑offs, and decisions to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Model relational schemas in PostgreSQL and design DynamoDB access patterns; own migrations and data integrity. Design idempotent, retry‑safe RESTful APIs and type‑safe shared contracts (e.g. zod) consumed across web, mobile, and backend. Integrate APIs with front‑end and mobile clients to ensure seamless data flow. Implement security best practices to protect data and user information.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

5+ years as a Full Stack Developer, including senior‑level ownership.

Strong proficiency in ReactJS, Next.js, TypeScript, and responsive CSS for front‑end development. Hands‑on experience with React Native / Expo for mobile (or strong, demonstrated willingness to ramp quickly).

Expert in Node.js and TypeScript for back‑end development. Experience with modern state management (React Query / Context / Redux). Proven experience building serverless applications on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3). Solid PostgreSQL experience schema design, migrations alongside NoSQL/DynamoDB access‑pattern modeling.

Strong understanding of serverless architecture principles and best practices. Automated testing (unit + integration) as a standard practice. Experience with Infrastructure as Code AWS CDK (TypeScript) (CloudFormation/Terraform a plus). Experience with monorepos (pnpm / Turborepo) and Docker / containers (ECS Fargate a plus). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Strong grasp of software architecture and design principles, and the ability to make technical decisions that align with business objectives.

Experience with Agile/Scrum and Git. Strong problem‑solving/analytical skills and excellent communication and teamwork.

Bonus Skills:

SQS / async job queues and Redis (caching / background work). CI/CD with GitHub Actions. S3 + CloudFront static hosting / CDN. TimescaleDB / time‑series data. Containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of testing frameworks for both front‑end and back‑end.
