Job summary

DigiRecruitx is seeking a Full Stack Website Developer to own features end to end across backend services, databases, and frontend interfaces. You will build server-side services and APIs in Python, design the databases behind them, and develop React interfaces that consume those services.

The role involves solving performance-intensive problems with data-dense interfaces, large datasets, and live updates where responsiveness and low latency are critical.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of relevant work experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python frameworks (FastAPI, Django, or Flask).
• Proficient in React/Next.js, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL/MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Familiarity with Celery or message queues for asynchronous processing.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are looking for a Full Stack Website Developer who can own features end to end across backend services, databases, and frontend interfaces. You will build server-side services and APIs in Python, design the databases behind them, and develop React interfaces that consume those services.

The role involves solving performance-intensive problems involving data-dense interfaces, large datasets, and live updates where responsiveness and low latency are critical.

Key Responsibilities

Frontend Development

• Build responsive, high-performance interfaces using React or Next.js with TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Build data-dense views, including virtualised grids and tables that remain smooth across tens of thousands of rows, with pivoting, filtering, and export.
• Integrate visualisation libraries such as Chart.js, Plotly, or D3.js for dynamic charts and dashboards over financial time series.
• Deliver live updates to the client through WebSockets as actuals and guidance arrive.
• Manage application state and optimise render performance using memoisation, code splitting, and lazy loading where appropriate.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility, responsiveness, and adherence to UI/UX best practices.

Backend Development

• Design and build server-side services and RESTful APIs using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• Implement authentication, authorisation, role-based access control, and per-client data entitlements.
• Use Celery and message queues such as Redis or RabbitMQ for asynchronous and scheduled work including bulk exports, model builds, and data refreshes.
• Write clean, modular, well‑tested, production‑grade Python code.

Databases and Application Data

• Design, manage, and optimise SQL databases such as PostgreSQL/MySQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB/Redis.
• Write efficient queries, design schemas for time‑series financial data, and manage migrations.
• Implement caching strategies that keep response times low without serving stale figures.

Deployment, Quality and Collaboration

• Containerise applications using Docker and docker‑compose, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment.
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Test, debug, profile, and optimise application, API, and query performance at scale.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, analysts, and other developers, and participate in code reviews.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2–4 years of relevant experience as a Full Stack Developer, Python Developer, or in a similar role.
• Strong hands‑on experience with at least one Python framework: FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development.
• Hands‑on experience with React or Next.js, along with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL/MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Familiarity with Celery or message queues for asynchronous and event‑driven processing.
• Proficiency with Docker and experience deploying containerised applications.
• Understanding of web security fundamentals including authentication, authorisation, and common OWASP risks.
• Experience with Git and agile development.
• Comfort with complex business logic and real‑world datasets, with strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.

Good to Have

• Experience rendering large datasets in the browser using virtualisation, canvas‑based grids, or libraries such as AG Grid.
• Experience with WebSockets and real‑time application features.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as PyTest, Jest, Playwright, or similar.
• Experience with observability and application performance monitoring.
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of data security and compliance best practices.
• Interest in AI/ML or Generative AI.
