Job summary

Utsav is a devotions-tech startup enabling thousands of devotees to book pujas, temple services and offerings through its app and website. As a Full Stack Engineer with 2–4 years of hands-on experience, you will own features end-to-end across backend services, admin panel, and consumer apps.

You'll work with Node.js/TypeScript, React, Next.js, and React Native, shipping production-grade code, debugging live issues, and collaborating directly with the Founder & CTO.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hands‑on full stack development experience.
• Practical experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL) and REST API design.
• Comfortable with Git workflows and basic cloud concepts (GCP or AWS).
• A fast learner with genuine curiosity — you’ll regularly build things you haven’t built before.
• Ownership mindset: you finish what you start, and you speak up when something is broken.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship features end‑to‑end — APIs, database, web UI and mobile screens.
• Write Node.js/TypeScript services and efficient PostgreSQL queries that run in production.
• Contribute to our Next.js consumer website, React Native (Expo) consumer app and Next.js admin panel.
• Integrate third‑party services including payment gateways, notifications and analytics.
• Investigate and fix production issues, and own your fixes end‑to‑end.
• Use AI tooling as part of your daily workflow — we encourage it, as long as you understand what you ship.

Utsav (utsavapp.in) is a venture-backed devotion-tech startup. Devotees across India book Hindu pujas, temple services and spiritual offerings through our app and website, in five Indian languages. We recently raised our Series A led by Atomic Capital, and we're scaling fast.

Our engineering team is small and deliberately so. Every engineer ships to production in their first week. We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer with 2–4 years of experience who wants to stop maintaining one module and start building whole features — with real ownership and direct access to the Founder & CTO.

About the role -

You’ll work across our entire product surface: backend services, the Next.js admin panel, and our React Native consumer app. You’ll build features end-to-end, debug real production issues, and learn how a live consumer platform behaves when thousands of devotees show up on a festival morning.

Our stack: Node.js/TypeScript, React, Next.js, React Native (Expo), PostgreSQL, GKE on Google Cloud, AWS Lambda + SQS, and multi-gateway payments (Razorpay, PayU, PhonePe).
