Job summary

Loreal seeks an experienced senior software engineer to design, build, and own end-to-end web application features across frontend and backend. You will collaborate with designers and product managers to translate requirements into scalable, robust solutions, emphasizing usability, performance, and accessibility.

You will develop APIs and services, work with cloud infrastructure, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines. A strong emphasis on code quality, security, and documentation is expected.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering or architecture experience with at least 3 years in web development.
• Strong hands-on experience in frontend and backend web development using modern frameworks (e.g., React/Next.js, Node.js, Python).
• Solid understanding of web app architecture, client-server communication, and RESTful API design.

Responsibilities

• Build high-quality, performant, and accessible user interfaces in collaboration with designers and product managers.
• Implement secure, reliable APIs and data integrations.
• Ensure performance, scalability, reliability, and security across the full stack.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering or architecture, with at least 3 years in web development.
• Strong hands-on experience in both frontend and backend web development using modern frameworks (e. g., React/Next.js, Node.js, Python, or similar).
• Solid understanding of web application architecture, including client-server communication and RESTful API design patterns.
• Proven experience building responsive, scalable, and performant user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with databases, including data modeling and query optimization.
• Experience designing, building, and consuming APIs and integrating with third-party services (e. g., GCP services).
• Strong knowledge of Git workflows, code review, and maintaining high code quality standards.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and development workflows.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and modern deployment workflows.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with designers, product managers, and other engineers.
• Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience mentoring engineers/architects; passion for continuous improvement.
