Job summary

Citi in Pune, India, seeks an AVP-level Applications Developer for full stack work with a React focus and strong Java backend experience. You will modernize legacy Angular apps, design RESTful APIs, and implement event-driven data pipelines using Kafka while ensuring cloud-native, scalable deployments.

The role requires 6–8 years in full stack development, expertise in React/Java/Spring Boot, CI/CD, and collaboration across global teams in an Agile setup.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of experience in full stack development.
• Strong expertise in React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
• Experience with state management (Redux or Context API).
• Prior Angular experience (AngularJS or Angular 2+).
• Backend experience in Java 8+, Spring, Spring Boot, microservices.
• Experience building REST APIs and distributed systems.
• Experience with Kafka or similar pub/sub technologies.
• Hands-on SQL Server and NoSQL databases knowledge.
• Understanding of cloud-native architectures and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift; AI coding assistants a plus.

• Ensure applications meet security, performance, and scalability standards.

Overview

The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst (AVP) is an intermediate-level position responsible for developing and enhancing application systems in coordination with global technology teams.

This role is suited for a strong React-focused full stack developer with prior experience in Angular and Java-based backend systems, contributing to modern, scalable, and cloud-native applications.
