Job summary

Barracuda is a leading cybersecurity company delivering protection across email, data, applications, and networks, including a managed XDR service. Our Application Security team builds Web Application Firewall (WAF) and WAF-as-a-Service, protecting against API attacks, bots, and client-side threats.

You will design and develop features, troubleshoot issues, collaborate with Product Management to translate requirements into tasks, ensure security and performance, and write tests across backend

Qualifications

• B.E/B.Tech or Masters in Computer Science or related fields.
• 5+ years of relevant experience working as a full stack developer with backend emphasis.
• Self-motivated, quick learner, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and use a collaborative approach across boundaries to get work done.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and quality-first development practices (TDD/BDD).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new features/enhancements
• Troubleshoot, fix, and test product issues to resolve complex problems
• Work with Product Management to understand business requirements for projects and remove gaps and ambiguity; create technical tasks out of general requirements
• Understand performance and security implications of how the design/code impacts the product
• Write and maintain unit, integration, and E2E tests across backend and frontend
• Conduct code reviews with focus on code quality, security, and test coverage
• Build and maintain React UI components aligned with design specs

Tech Stack Exposure

Required

• Proficient in Python and relevant work experience
• Very good knowledge and experience working with the Django REST framework
• Proficient in React / TypeScript / Material UI / state management
• Database management skills and prior experience with MySQL / PostgreSQL
• Excellent understanding of RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of SDLC and Agile practices - working with source code management tools (Git)

Nice to Have

• Exposure to cloud technologies and services on Azure / AWS platforms
• Linux background experience (Shell/Bash scripting knowledge)
• Experience working with Docker and containers
