Job summary

Persistent Systems Limited is hiring a Full Stack Developer with 5 to 8 years of experience to join our engineering team. You will design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise web applications using Java, React.js, and Node.js, with strong frontend and backend capabilities and database knowledge.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in Agile ceremonies, and contribute to DevOps and cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of experience in full stack development with Java and modern frontend tech.
• Strong experience with React.js, TypeScript, and RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on DB experience with SQL Server/Oracle/MySQL.
• Experience with Azure cloud and containerized deployments.

What You'll Do:

• Analyze, design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise web applications using Java/J2EE, React.js, and Node.js.
• Develop responsive and user-friendly frontend applications using React.js, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Build scalable backend services and APIs using Java and Node.js.
• Design and implement reusable, maintainable, and efficient application components.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
• Work with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Participate in application architecture, design discussions, and technical reviews.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security policies, and development best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance bottlenecks, and production issues.

• Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams for application deployments and environment management.

• 5 to 8 years of experience in Full Stack Application Development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java/J2EE application development.
• Expertise in React.js and TypeScript for modern frontend development.
• Experience developing backend services using Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases including SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL.
• Strong understanding of database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and web services.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and engineering best practices.
• Experience working with Jenkins for build and deployment automation.
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and cloud-native application deployment.
• Experience working with Docker and containerized application environments.
• Strong knowledge of GitHub and version control best practices.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments.
