Job summary

Candor Health is hiring for a software engineer to design and implement scalable data processing and API systems for our healthcare intelligence platform. You will work on ingestion, processing, and exposing data via APIs/UI, while staying current with frontend and backend technologies.

The role emphasizes building robust backend systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality code with tests. Knowledge of cloud services and web scraping is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of programming experience in Python or Golang.
• Experience with building APIs and backend systems.
• Experience with system design and architecture.
• Experience with Cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Hands-on web scraping is a bonus.
• Knowledge of frontend libraries like HTML, CSS, React.js.

Responsibilities

• Apply software design tools and web technologies to solve critical challenges in healthcare ecosystem.
• Own end-to-end Candor data processing system from ingestion to API/UI.
• Fine tune and optimize existing system for scalability and availability.
• Stay up-to-date on frontend/backend technologies.
• Relay findings to stakeholders using diagrams and visuals.
• Write automated tests in parallel to development.
• Collaborate effectively within a team.
• Proactive in raising concerns and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Apply software design tools and web technologies to solve critical challenges in the healthcare ecosystem

• Write automated unit and end-to-end integration tests in parallel to development

• 3+ years of programming experience in Python, Golang or any other object-oriented programming language
• Experience with building APIs and backend systems

• Hands-on experience with web scraping is a bonus
• Good to have knowledge of frontend libraries like HTML, CSS, React.js
