SortYourTrip is transforming how people plan travel using AI. Our platform generates personalized, customizable travel itineraries in real time and enables users to book flights, hotels, transfers, and activities through a seamless experience. We are building an AI-native travel platform powered by asynchronous microservices, real-time updates, and modern LLM technologies.
What you'll do
- Build modern, responsive applications using React, TypeScript, and Vite
- Create reusable UI components with Tailwind CSS and modern design systems
- Manage application state using Zustand or similar libraries
- Build real-time interfaces using WebSockets
- Develop dashboards for itinerary management and booking workflows
- Optimize performance through lazy loading, memoization, and code splitting
- Backend Development
- Develop scalable REST APIs using Node.js, Express, and TypeScript
- Design scalable backend architecture and reusable services
- Build asynchronous workflows using BullMQ, Redis, and worker processes
- Integrate third-party travel APIs for flights, hotels, activities, and transfers
- Design database schemas using MongoDB (Mongoose) or SQL databases
- Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access control
- Optimize API performance through caching, indexing, and efficient querying
- Handle logging, monitoring, validation, and error management
- Integrate LLMs including Google Gemini, AWS Bedrock, and OpenAI-compatible models
- Build AI-powered travel recommendation systems
- Design prompts and structured outputs for production applications
- Implement tool calling, function calling, and AI workflows
- Build AI agents capable of interacting with internal APIs
- Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using vector databases when applicable
- Evaluate AI outputs and continuously improve quality, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Build end-to-end features from UI to database
- Design APIs that support scalable frontend architecture
- Connect frontend applications with background workers through WebSockets
- Work closely with designers, product managers, and fellow engineers
- Participate in architecture discussions and code reviews
- Debug production issues and improve system reliability
- Work with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps
- Deploy and monitor production applications
- Work with CDN, object storage, and cloud networking services
