Job summary

Reliance Jio in Kanpur is seeking an FTTx Engineer with 4–7 years of hands-on experience in field operations and maintenance of FTTx networks. The role involves managing OLT/ODN, ensuring SLA adherence, and coordinating with technicians and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Strong fiber optics knowledge and troubleshooting skills are essential for success, with close collaboration with local authorities as needed.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech Electronics required with 4–7 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with Splicing, OTDR, LSPM and cable locator essential.
• Strong knowledge of Fiber Optics and O&M of Transmission/IP equipment recommended.

Responsibilities

• Manage field operations and maintenance of FTTx network.
• Handle OLT, ODN Network HOTO within SLA.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance.
• Plan and monitor spares, tools, and materials per design norms.
• Resolve O2A issues assigned to O&M.
• Coordinate with FRT and technicians for site activities.
• Liaise with local authorities/building owners as needed.
• Interface with cross-functional teams (Construction, Home Care, MSP).

Education : BE/B Tech Electronics

Experience : 4 - 7 years

Key Responsibilities

1. Responsible for field operations and maintenance of FTTx network
2. OLT, ODN Network HOTO within SLA
3. Corrective and Preventive Maintenance
4. Plan , monitor and control spares material, TMI and Tools requirement, & availability as per design norms for assigned Scope, Calibration of,TMI.
5. Resolve O2A issues assigned to O&M
6. Coordination, supervision and technical support to FRT and Technician
7. Liaising with local authority/building owners etc.
8. Interface and coordination with cross functional teams (Construction, Home Care, Business, MSP etc)
9. Material related activities.
