Job summary

Avolta is looking for a Junior Accountant to support our finance team in Hebbal, Karle Tech Park. The ideal candidate should have experience in General Ledger and be capable of maintaining standard closing schedules.

The role requires excellent communication skills and familiarity with accounting principles. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and possibly a CA Inter certification. This position involves working closely with financial statements and compliance reporting.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Junior Accountant in General Ledger or Accounting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent report writing, communication, and IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate standard period-end closing schedules.
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements.
• Analyze and reconcile bank statements and general ledgers.
• Prepare and file local compliance reporting.

Junior Accountant – GL

We are looking for a Junior Accountant with strong general ledger experience to support our finance team.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Certification of CA Inter and a three‑year articleship is also acceptable.

Experience Requirements

3 to 5 years of experience as a Junior Accountant in General Ledger or Accounting.

Work Location

Work Timings

8:00 AM to 10:30 PM (any 8½ hours).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate standard period‑end closing schedules
• Hands‑on experience in General Ledger (GL)
• Balance Sheet account reconciliations
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements
• Analyze and reconcile bank statements and general ledgers
• Maintain and record fixed assets
• Prepare and file local compliance reporting as necessary
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
• IC reconciliations
• Preparation & posting of monthly & quarterly accruals
• Work closely with local Finance teams for successful period closures
• Analyse trial balances & reporting
• Perform quarterly financial statement flux analysis
• Support internal & external audits
• Budgeting knowledge
