Job summary

Alstom Transport India Ltd in Bengaluru seeks a Senior Frontend Software Architect to lead the design and development of cloud-native web applications. You will work with architects, PMs, and DevOps to build scalable UI/UX, implement microservices, and containerize apps for deployment in Kubernetes clusters.

You will collaborate across teams to define specifications, craft robust software components, and maintain tooling.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in full-stack web application development with modern frameworks.
• Experience designing distributed systems using microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in creating responsive UI/UX applications.
• Familiarity with Web APIs, databases (PostgreSQL), and DevOps processes.
• Understanding of SDLC, UML, and modern modeling.
• Containerization with Docker and deployment in Kubernetes clusters.
• Experience with Azure Cloud Services (App Services, AKS, DevOps).
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD.
• Proficiency with Git-based workflows and repository management.
• Experience with unit/integration testing and test automation.
• Agile environment experience with CI/CD processes.

Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as architects, product managers, and DevOps engineers), contribute to the development of user-friendly interfaces, and ensure the seamless integration of software and hardware systems. You’ll specifically take care of creating responsive UI/UX applications and implementing microservices architectures, but also containerizing applications and deploying them in Kubernetes clusters.

• Proficiency in designing and developing distributed systems using microservices architecture


• Experience in creating responsive UI/UX applications


• Familiarity with DevOps processes, Web APIs, and databases like PostgreSQL


• Understanding of SDLC, software development methodologies, and UML modeling (class and sequence diagrams)


• Proficiency in containerization using Docker and deploying/managing applications in Kubernetes clusters


• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Services (e.g., App Services, Azure Functions, AKS, Azure DevOps)


• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD)


• Proficiency in Git-based workflows, branching strategies, and managing repositories


• Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, and test automation frameworks


• Comfortable working in Agile environments with continuous integration and delivery principles
