We are seeking a Frontend Developer with strong React skills to join our engineering team at Octopus Technologies. You will build responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces for our web applications, translating design mockups into production-ready components. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about front-end engineering, has a keen eye for design, and wants to work on products used by thousands of developers.
Responsibilities
- Build responsive, accessible user interfaces using React and TypeScript
- Translate Figma and design mockups into pixel-perfect React components
- Manage application state using Redux, Context API, or Zustand
- Write reusable, well-tested component libraries with consistent styling
- Optimize front-end performance including bundle size, lazy loading, and code splitting
- Integrate with RESTful and WebSocket APIs for dynamic data and real-time features
- Collaborate closely with UX designers, backend developers, and product managers
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality standards
Requirements
- 1–3 years of professional experience with React
- Experience with state management solutions (Redux, Context API, or Zustand)
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
- Familiarity with component testing using Jest and React Testing Library
- Experience with CSS frameworks like Tailwind CSS or styled-components
- Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Familiarity with Git and modern front-end build tools (Webpack, Vite)
Nice to Have
- Experience with Next.js for server-side rendering
- Knowledge of animation libraries (Framer Motion, GSAP)
- Familiarity with design tools like Figma
- Contributions to design systems or component libraries
