Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design and develop visually compelling digital experiences including microsites, landing pages, web apps and campaign assets.
• Translate brand guidelines and UX requirements into engaging experiences.

• Collaborate with marketing, design and stakeholders to refine concepts.

Purpose of the Role

We are seeking an experienced Front-end Developer + Digital Designer to design and build engaging digital experiences for global brands.

This is a hybrid creative and technical role suited to someone who is equally comfortable creating user-centred digital designs and bringing those designs to life through modern front-end development.

You will lead the development of microsites, landing pages, HTML email campaigns, digital applications, dashboards and interactive experiences, ensuring every project combines outstanding visual design with exceptional performance and usability.

As part of a global creative team, you will collaborate with marketing, design and leadership stakeholders across multiple regions, delivering high-quality digital solutions that meet brand, user and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Digital experience design

• Design and develop visually compelling digital experiences including microsites, landing pages, web applications and campaign assets
• Translate brand guidelines, creative concepts and UX requirements into engaging digital experiences
• Create responsive, accessible and user-focused interfaces across desktop and mobile devices
• Collaborate with designers, marketers and stakeholders to refine concepts and improve user experience

Front-end development

• Build and maintain modern front-end experiences using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and Next.js
• Develop responsive layouts, animations and interactive user interfaces
• Integrate with REST APIs, third‑party platforms and headless CMS solutions
• Ensure fast-loading, SEO-friendly and accessible experiences
• Manage deployment and hosting across Linux-based environments
• Utilise Git-based version control and development workflows

Email development

• Design and develop responsive HTML email templates for internal communications, marketing campaigns and customer engagement programmes
• Build templates using MJML and Foundation for Emails
• Ensure compatibility across major email platforms including Outlook, Gmail and Apple Mail
• Apply accessibility, testing and optimisation best practices to maximise engagement and performance

Data + platform integration

• Integrate content from headless CMS platforms and external services
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases where required
• Support integrations with identity platforms such as Okta CIAM or equivalent authentication solutions
• Contribute to analytics, dashboard development and reporting using Power BI

Quality assurance + optimisation

• Conduct rigorous cross-browser, device and responsive testing
• Troubleshoot and resolve front-end issues efficiently
• Maintain high standards of code quality, performance and accessibility
• Continuously improve development processes, workflows and standards

Collaboration + stakeholder management

• Partner with Marketing Directors, Marketing Managers, Creative Teams and Business Stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives
• Communicate technical recommendations clearly to non-technical audiences
• Manage expectations, timelines and deliverables effectively
• Contribute to project planning and provide accurate effort estimates

Mentoring + team development

• Provide guidance and support to junior designers and developers
• Promote best practices in digital design and front-end development
• Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, creativity and innovation
• Support the development of team capabilities across design, web and emerging technologies

Knowledge, Skills + Experience

• 5+ years' experience in front-end development and digital design
• Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and modern JavaScript
• Strong commercial experience with Next.js
• Proven experience building responsive websites, landing pages and microsites
• Experience developing and deploying web applications
• Strong understanding of UX, UI and mobile-first design principles
• Experience working with REST APIs and third-party integrations
• Experience with Git version control workflows
• Experience with Linux environments and command-line tools
• Strong understanding of accessibility standards and responsive design
• Experience building HTML emails using MJML or Foundation for Emails
• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Experience with React ecosystem tooling
• Experience with animation libraries such as GSAP
• Experience with headless CMS platforms
• Experience with authentication platforms such as Okta CIAM
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with WordPress, Webflow or other CMS platforms
• Experience creating dashboards and reports in Power BI
• Familiarity with AI-assisted design and development tools
