Job summary

msg global solutions Bengaluru seeks a frontend engineer to help modernize a banking application, building a replacement with a modern stack. You will participate from requirements through testing and deployment.

In this role you will craft clean, reusable UI, implement responsive interfaces, and ensure integration with REST APIs while collaborating with cross‑functional teams in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building modern apps with Vite and npm.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and responsive UI development.
• Experience integrating frontend apps with REST APIs.
• Proficient in Git and GitHub‑based development.
• Experience with frontend automated and end‑to‑end testing.
• Strong frontend debugging and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to refine, estimate, implement and test frontend user stories independently.
• Focus on clean, reusable and maintainable frontend code.

What you will do

You will contribute to the modernization of a banking application by building its replacement using a modern technology stack. You will contribute from requirements and implementation through testing and deployment.

What we are looking for

Must have

• Hands‑on experience building modern applications using Vite and npm.
• Good knowledge of HTML, CSS and responsive UI development.
• Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs.
• Good working knowledge of Git and GitLab/GitHub‑based development.
• Experience with frontend automated and end‑to‑end testing.
• Strong frontend debugging and problem‑solving skills.
• Able to refine, estimate, implement and test frontend user stories independently.
• Strong focus on clean, reusable and maintainable frontend code.

Nice to have

• Experience with Playwright or CodeceptJS for end‑to‑end testing.
• Knowledge of WebSocket/STOMP for real‑time communication.
• Exposure to CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes environments.
• Knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger‑based API integration.
• Experience with Keycloak, OIDC or JWT authentication.
• Basic understanding of Java/Spring Boot and microservices.
• Exposure to SonarQube and application observability tools.
• Banking domain knowledge would be an advantage.
