Qualifications

• MS Ophthalmology or DNB Ophthalmology completed and registered.
• Experience in managing comprehensive ophthalmology OPD.
• NMC or State Medical Council registration valid.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive Eye OPD consultations and manage cases.
• Diagnose and manage cataract, glaucoma, refractive errors, and other common conditions.
• Perform slit-lamp exams, refraction, fundoscopy, and tonometry.
• Interpret OCT, Visual Field, Fundus Photography, and B-Scan when required.
• Coordinate with Retina, Cornea, Glaucoma, Cataract and Oculoplasty teams.
• Counsel patients on diagnosis, treatment plans, medications and eye care.
• Maintain electronic medical records.
• Refer ophthalmic emergencies as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive Eye OPD consultations
• Diagnose and manage cataract, glaucoma, refractive errors, dry eye, conjunctival disorders, and other common ophthalmic conditions
• Perform comprehensive eye examinations including slit-lamp evaluation, refraction, fundoscopy, and tonometry
• Interpret diagnostic investigations such as OCT, Visual Field, Fundus Photography, and B-Scan as required
• Manage ophthalmic emergencies and provide appropriate referrals when necessary
• Counsel patients regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, medications, and preventive eye care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records
• Coordinate with Retina, Cornea, Glaucoma, Cataract, and Oculoplasty specialists for multidisciplinary patient care
