Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Finance Analyst to support Global Function Heads, Managers, and Finance Business Partners with financial planning, reporting, and decision-making. You will transform financial data into dashboards and reports, enabling timely insights for strategic planning, forecasting, budgeting, and operational excellence.

The role offers exposure to global finance operations, digital transformation, and process governance.

Qualifications

• CA or CMA qualification is required.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in FP&A, Controlling, Finance Operations, or related areas.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Experience with SAP and exposure to business intelligence platforms such as Power BI or Tableau; knowledge of SQL is preferred.
• Sound understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling processes.
• Interest in finance digitalization, automation, and emerging technologies, including AI and ML applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a global environment.

Responsibilities

• Support financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting activities by delivering accurate and insightful financial analysis.
• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance automated reports, dashboards, and analytical tools that improve business visibility and decision-making.
• Partner with Global Function Heads, Managers, and Finance Business Partners to provide data-driven recommendations and performance insights.
• Monitor costs, budgets, and financial performance indicators to support effective controlling and business planning processes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies and implementing standardized and scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure adherence to finance process standards, governance requirements, and organizational policies.
• Support process performance measurement through KPI tracking, reporting, and validation activities across finance operations.
• Contribute to master data governance and financial systems management, including chart of accounts, SAP, and Business Warehouse reporting tools.
• Leverage automation technologies, analytics platforms, and digital tools to improve productivity, reduce manual effort, and enhance reporting accuracy.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice adoption across teams to strengthen finance capabilities and process excellence.
