India Job Family Group: Finance Worker Type: Regular Posting Start Date: September 3, 2026 Business Unit: Experience Level: Experienced Professionals Job Description: What’s the role The Financial Planning & Appraisal Manager is accountable for enabling high-quality business decisions through robust planning, performance management, appraisal, forecasting and decision ready insight generation. The role acts as a strategic finance partner to business and finance leadership, translating commercial drivers, operational performance, risks and opportunities into clear financial insights and actionable interventions. The role is expected to strengthen decision quality, drive value delivery, maintain financial discipline and accelerate the shift from reporting to providing forward-looking decision ready insights through data, digital and analytics-enabled ways of working.
Operate as a trusted finance advisor and strategic co-pilot to the business. Demonstrate courage to challenge assumptions, surface risks and recommend value-accretive actions. Lead with clarity, accountability and care, enabling a high-performing and inclusive team environment. Build capability by coaching others, sharing best practices and contributing to communities of practice. Balance enterprise value, risk, controls and business pragmatism in decision support. Role-model learner mindset, digital curiosity and adaptability in a fast-evolving finance environment.
Significant experience in financial planning, appraisal, performance management, business finance or related finance roles. Proven track record of partnering with senior business stakeholders to influence decisions and deliver measurable business outcomes. Strong understanding of financial statements, value drivers, planning cycles, forecasting, business case development and performance reporting. Experience leading teams or influencing cross-functional delivery through matrixed ways of working. Experience with digital finance tools, data visualisation, automation, analytics or driver-based planning solutions is highly desirable. Professional finance qualification, accounting qualification, MBA or relevant business/finance degree preferred.

Improved decision quality through clear insights, robust scenarios and transparent assumptions. Visible business impact from interventions, performance actions and value/risk-based recommendations.
