Job summary

DECATHLON Belgium NV is seeking a Finance partner in Bengaluru to support FP&A, forecasting, and market analysis across ecommerce channels. You will build and maintain models, track KPIs, and translate operational ideas into financial actions.

You will structure data, deliver reliable reports, and drive automation to scale multi-channel finance. A proactive, hands-on mindset helps you communicate complex ideas clearly to non-finance stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in FP&A or Business Controlling, preferably in Digital, E-commerce, Marketplace, or B2B.
• Strong in financial planning and forecasting; experience with data tools and finance systems.
• Advanced Excel is a must for handling complex data flows.

Responsibilities

• Forecasting: Create accurate business forecasts using internal data and market trends.
• Track KPIs: Build financial models and track key metrics for each sales channel.
• Spot Growth: Analyse the e-commerce market to find new ways to grow and optimize our business.
• Data Structuring & Reporting: Structure financial data and deliver clear reports separating revenues by channel.
• Variance Analysis: Compare actual results against budgets and explain differences.
• Communication: Present financial insights to finance and operational teams.

Job description

• Business Co-pilot: Act as the financial partner for our leaders. Provide clear insights, solve problems, and help achieve long-term goals.
• Future Business Models: Analyse new business opportunities (like growing our marketplace or B2B channels) to ensure they are profitable and sustainable.
• Financial Translation: Turn operational ideas into clear financial impacts and actionable solutions.

Financial Planning, Forecasting & Market Analysis

• Forecasting: Create accurate business forecasts using internal data and market trends.
• Track Performance (KPIs): Build financial models and track key metrics for each sales channel.
• Spot Growth: Analyse the e-commerce market to find new ways to grow and optimize our business.

Data Structuring, Reporting & Controllership

• Data Structuring: Actively manage and organize financial data. You will help build the structure that ensures our raw data accurately feeds into our financial statements.
• Reliable Reporting: Deliver accurate financial reports that clearly separate E-commerce, Marketplace, and Wholesale revenues.
• Variance Analysis: Compare actual results against budgets and forecasts, and clearly explain any differences.
• Clear Communication: Share financial information in an easy-to-understand way. Adapt your message whether you are talking to finance experts or operational teams.

Operational Excellence & Automation

• From Manual to Automated: Challenge current ways of working. While managing the manual daily tasks today, you will take the initiative to build the automated financial processes of tomorrow.
• Systems & Tools: Use finance and data visualization tools to simplify and scale our multi-channel reporting.

Profile

Who Are You?

• Experience: 3+ years in FP&A or Business Controlling, ideally in Digital, E-commerce, Marketplace, or B2B. Minimum qualification: CA, MBA, PGDM, or ACCA.
• Technical Skills: Strong in financial planning and forecasting. Experience with data tools (Tableau, PowerBI) and finance systems. Advanced Excel is a must for handling complex data flows.
• Mindset: You have a hands-on, entrepreneurial spirit. You are proactive, unafraid to challenge the status quo, and can confidently build structures from scratch.
• Communication: Great presentation skills. You are a "Data Storyteller" who makes complex financial ideas easy for non-finance people to understand.
• Organization: Highly organized, resilient, and able to manage both manual data management and high-level strategy in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion: A sports enthusiast who loves working in a dynamic team.
