Job summary

Meraki-Labs is seeking a founding member to lead product strategy and execution from the ground up. You will shape what features to build, work closely with engineers on AI systems, and guide decisions that balance performance, memory usage, and cost while ensuring user adoption.

You will iterate on approaches, test ideas through prototypes and experiments, and help drive a product from concept through launch and ongoing improvement.

About the role:

• Lead product strategy and execution from the ground up as a founding member of the team
• Shape decisions about what features to build, what to deprioritize, and how to measure success
• Work closely with engineers to navigate the complexities of AI systems, including memory management, third-party integrations, access controls, and the balance between performance, response speed and resource costs
• Drive adoption of new products by guiding users through discovery and into sustained use
• Iterate on solutions when initial approaches don't achieve their goals

• Deep curiosity about how users actually work, including the invisible workarounds they've learned to live with
• The ability to convert fuzzy problems into concrete decisions, backed by clear reasoning about what evidence would shift your thinking
• A hands-on approach that relies on building prototypes, running small experiments, and leveraging AI tools to test ideas in the real world
• Comfort reasoning through technical tradeoffs with your engineering team, especially around AI behavior and system design
• An eye for subtle friction—interactions that confuse, notifications that land at the wrong moment, systems that claim certainty they haven't earned
• Commitment to see problems through from initial exploration through launch and beyond
• Writing and speaking with precision, clarity, and respect, even when you see things differently
