Job summary

e-Hireo in Bengaluru, India is seeking an experienced software engineer to join a fast-moving team. You will own features and subsystems end-to-end, focusing on building production-grade LLM-powered capabilities for real users.

You will design prompts, implement RAG and embeddings, and ensure safe, scalable deployments with cloud, CI/CD, and monitoring. Strong English communication and async collaboration across India and the US are essential.

Must-haves

• 3-6 years of professional software engineering, shipping production products in a fast-paced environment (a startup, or a fast-moving team inside a larger company). Operating at SDE 2 / MLE 2: you own features and subsystems end-to-end with little direction.


• Hands-on experience shipping LLM-powered features to real users: prompt and context design, RAG, embeddings and vector search, function/tool calling, structured outputs. You also know when not to use a model.


• An evaluation mindset: you have measured AI quality with datasets and metrics rather than gut feel, and used the results to make decisions.


• Production fundamentals: cloud deployment, CI/CD, monitoring, performance, authentication and security basics.


• Ownership and product sense: you talk to users, make practical tradeoffs and ship. You're comfortable with ambiguity and with changing direction quickly.


• Clear communication in English, both written and spoken, and comfort working asynchronously with a team spread across India and the US.

Nice to have

• Supabase (Postgres, row-level security, Edge Functions) or a similar backend-as-a-service


• Real-time voice AI: speech-to-text / text-to-speech (e.g., ElevenLabs), WebSockets/WebRTC, latency tuning


• Agent orchestration, LLM observability and tracing tools, fine-tuning or distillation


• ML fundamentals such as recommender systems, knowledge graphs or learning-to-rank (directly relevant to the Builder Graph)


• Experience in EdTech, consumer products, or multi-tenant B2B / B2B2C SaaS


• React Native, game development or interactive simulations
