Be the Technical Backbone of FreightX’s Revolution (A stealth mode - T3RA Logistics Spinoff company)

The Role

As our Founding Backend Engineer, you’ll architect scalable systems that power our AI-driven platform, enabling 10x efficiency in freight management. From carrier selection to claims processing, you’ll build automation that transforms a 100-person job into a lean, 10-person operation. With significant equity and a clear path to leadership, this is your chance to own the tech stack, grow a world-class team, and redefine logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build backend systems using Node.js, Python, and React to integrate AI workflows for end-to-end freight automation.
• Develop agentic AI pipelines with tools like n8n, Langchain/LangGraph, CrewAI to automate carrier matching, scheduling, tracking, PODs, lumper/detention approvals, invoicing, and claims.
• Own DevOps (CI/CD, AWS/GCP/Azure, Docker/Kubernetes, monitoring) to ensure reliable, scalable systems with >98% on-time performance.
• Innovate on AI features like predictive analytics and anomaly detection to minimize manual oversight.
• Collaborate on full-stack features, ensuring seamless frontend-backend-AI integration.
• Recruit and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation.
• Tackle ambiguous challenges, rapidly prototyping and deploying solutions.
• Shape strategic tech decisions to align with emerging AI trends and logistics needs.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of backend engineering experience, with 1+ year in agentic AI (e.g., autonomous agents, workflow orchestration).
• Expertise in Node.js, Python, React, n8n, and DevOps tools (Terraform, Jenkins, Prometheus).
• Proven ability to thrive independently in fast-paced, startup environments.
