Maxim AI is seeking a Founders' Office – Business Operations professional to join our Bangalore team. You will own onboarding, compliance, and operational systems that enable rapid enterprise growth and reduced risk.

You will partner with founders to build scalable processes, manage audits, and guide resource allocation while aligning with strategic business priorities in a fast-moving startup environment.

Qualifications

• You have 1–3 years of experience in finance, risk, compliance, business operations, or consulting.
• You've built or scaled processes in fast-moving environments and owned outcomes end-to-end.
• You communicate clearly and can explain complex processes to founders and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own and scale customer onboarding lifecycle, managing compliance docs, security questionnaires, and contracts at scale.
• Establish and improve compliance infrastructure (GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA) and coordinate with auditors.
• Drive financial planning and reporting for MIS and board updates; guide hiring, budgeting, and GTM priorities.
• Monitor KPIs, financial metrics, and cash flow to identify trends and opportunities.
• Design SOPs, trackers, dashboards, and workflows to keep cross-functional teams aligned.
• Manage relationships with legal, compliance, and finance to meet deadlines and audits.
• Partner with sales/marketing/GTM on strategic initiatives and enterprise deals.

About the Role

This role partners directly with the founders to bring operational rigor to how Maxim scales revenue, onboards enterprise customers, and manages risk. This role sits at the center of Maxim's business operations, creating the systems and infrastructure that turn early traction into repeatable, enterprise-ready motion. You'll own critical operational areas spanning customer onboarding, compliance, and business operations while developing a deep understanding of business drivers to help founders make better, faster decisions as the company grows.

What You'll Do

• Own and scale the customer onboarding lifecycle, designing systems to manage compliance documentation, security questionnaires, and contractual requirements at scale while anticipating risks and blockers before they impact enterprise deal timelines.
• Establish and continuously improve our compliance infrastructure (GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA). Keep internal teams aligned with compliance requirements while acting as the central point of coordination with external auditors and security partners to ensure certifications stay current and processes stay tight.
• Drive financial planning and reporting by collecting, validating, and organizing data for monthly MIS and board updates. Provide financial rigor and analysis to guide resource allocation decisions, evaluate new investments, and inform hiring plans, budgeting decisions, and go-to-market priorities.
• Monitor key performance indicators, financial metrics, and cash flow performance to identify trends and opportunities.
• Design and maintain the operational backbone of the company: SOPs, trackers, dashboards, and workflows that keep cross-functional teams aligned and allow the company to move fast without creating operational or financial debt.
• Manage relationships across legal, compliance, and finance. Ensure statutory filings, compliance deadlines, and audit requirements are met through well-defined processes, not last-minute firefighting.
• Partner with sales, marketing, and GTM teams on strategic initiatives when needed; supporting enterprise deals, analyzing funnel performance, assessing ROI of key initiatives or enabling key growth moments for the business.

About You

• You have 1–3 years of experience in finance, risk, compliance, business operations, or consulting, where you've built or scaled processes in fast-moving environments and owned outcomes end-to-end.
• You're sharp and articulate. You communicate clearly in writing and conversation, and can explain complex processes to founders, operators, and external stakeholders without losing clarity.
• You stay on top of everything. Nothing falls through the cracks because you're tracking it, following up, and closing loops consistently.
• You thrive in ambiguity and shifting priorities. You don't need structure handed to you; you create it.
• You have extreme attention to detail and a high regard for precision, but also see the bigger picture. You sweat the small stuff while understanding how it connects to revenue, risk, and long-term business outcomes.
• You hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in FP&A, risk management, audit, or compliance operations.
• Prior startup experience, preferably in B2B SaaS, where you've built operational infrastructure from 0 to 1.
