Job summary

Maxima, based in Bengaluru, is hiring a Deployment Engineer to bring customers live. You will work with Account Executives, run proofs of concept, and build integrations and custom modules while tuning prompts and models for client-specific AI performance.

The role emphasizes hands-on production support, direct customer interaction, and close collaboration with product and engineering to meet client needs in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in forward deployed engineering, sales engineering, implementation engineering, or solutions engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering; computer science preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication and comfort working directly with customers.
• Proficiency in Go, TypeScript, or Python.
• Experience working with Account Executives on technical sales processes for enterprise customers.
• Proactive, highly motivated and able to handle the intensity and pace of a startup.

Responsibilities

• Work with Account Executives on complex deal cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
• Run technical proof-of-concept processes and present tailored demos based on customer and business needs.
• Lead technical discovery calls and write the implementation scoping document for each customer that launches with Maxima.
• Tune prompts and models to get the right AI performance for each client.
• Build integrations to transaction systems such as revenue, billing, and accounts payable, and the custom modules customers need to go live.
• Partner with product and engineering to deliver on customer requests and advocate for customer needs.
• Troubleshoot, debug, fix, and upgrade software for reliable performance in production, and support deployed solutions over time.

About Maxima

The role

As a Deployment Engineer, you get customers live. You will sit alongside Account Executives through complex deal cycles, run technical proofs of concept, and then build what each customer needs to launch: integrations to their transaction systems, custom modules, and prompt and model tuning so the AI performs the way their accounting requires. When something breaks in production, you are the one who fixes it.

This is engineering with a customer in the room. Communication matters as much as code.

What we're looking for

• 2 or more years in forward deployed engineering, sales engineering, implementation engineering, or solutions engineering

• Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline; computer science preferred but not required

• Strong verbal and written communication skills and comfort working directly with customers

• Proficiency in languages such as Go, TypeScript, or Python

• Experience working with Account Executives on technical sales processes for enterprise customers

• Proactive, highly motivated, and able to handle the intensity and pace of a startup

This role is based in Bangalore and will be five days in office.
