Job summary

PTC Inc. is seeking a Forward Deployment Engineer to join the Business Systems team in Pune. You will design, develop, and support workflow orchestration, automation, and integrations that improve operational efficiency across SDS.

You will work with customers, product teams, and engineering to deliver scalable solutions and accelerate adoption of enterprise SaaS deployments. The role requires strong software engineering skills, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and hands-on experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Professional Services, DevOps, or Technical Consulting.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C#.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and system integrations.

• Partner with customers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Deploy, configure, and integrate applications within customer environments.
• Develop customizations, automation scripts, APIs, and workflows to support customer-specific use cases.

In this role, you will design, develop, implement, and support workflow orchestration, business process automation, system integrations, reporting solutions, and applications that improve operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and drive continuous improvement across the SDS organization.You will work directly with customers, product teams, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions that address complex business challenges.The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering skills, customer-facing experience, and a passion for solving real-world problems through technology.**Day‐to‐Day Responsibilities*** Partner with customers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.* Deploy, configure, and integrate applications within customer environments.* Develop customizations, automation scripts, APIs, and workflows to support customer-specific use cases.* Collaborate with Product, Engineering, DevOps, and Support teams to drive successful implementations.* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across application, integration, and infrastructure layers.* Perform solution architecture reviews and recommend best practices.* Build reusable deployment frameworks, templates, and automation to accelerate future implementations.* Support proof-of-concepts (POCs), pilot programs, and strategic customer initiatives.* Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment guides, and knowledge articles.* Participate in customer meetings, technical workshops, and architecture discussions. **Required Skills*** Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.* **3+ years of experience** in Software Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Professional Services, DevOps, or Technical Consulting.* Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as: + Python + Java + JavaScript/TypeScript + C#* Experience working with REST APIs, microservices, and system integrations.* Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).* Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development practices.* Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.* verbal and written communication skills.* Ability to work directly with customers and translate business needs into technical solutions.* Experience deploying enterprise SaaS applications.* Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized workloads.* Knowledge of DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.* Experience with Salesforce, ServiceNow, Sitecore, Workday, or other enterprise platforms.* Exposure to AI/ML solutions, analytics platforms, or data engineering.* Experience in manufacturing, PLM, CRM, or enterprise software domains.Life at PTC is about more than working with today’s most cutting-edge technologies to transform the physical world.
