Persistent is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and engineering teams to translate business problems into scalable technical solutions. The role bridges customer needs and engineering by turning challenges into deployable software.

You will design, build, and deploy AI/ML, cloud, API, and data platform solutions across industries, while ensuring security and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with Python/Java/Go/JS/TS.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), REST APIs and microservices.

Responsabilités

• Partner with customers to understand challenges, requirements, and success criteria.
• Lead discovery workshops and prioritize use cases by business value/ROI.
• Design and build proofs-of-concept, prototypes, and production-grade solutions.
• Work across AI/ML, cloud, APIs, data platforms, and enterprise apps.
• Develop reusable solution components, accelerators, and frameworks.
• Drive deployment, integration, testing, adoption, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Present solutions and demos to stakeholders/customers.
• Collaborate with product/engineering/architecture/delivery teams with security/compliance in mind.

About Position:

We are seeking a highly motivated Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to work closely with customers, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to identify, design, build, and deploy technology solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes. The role bridges customer needs and engineering by translating business problems into scalable technical solutions.

What You'll Do:

• Partner directly with customers to understand business challenges, requirements, and success criteria.
• Lead discovery workshops and prioritize use cases based on business value and ROI.
• Design and build proof-of-concepts, prototypes, and production-grade solutions.
• Work across AI/ML, cloud, APIs, data platforms, and enterprise applications.
• Develop reusable solution components, accelerators, and frameworks.
• Drive solution deployment, integration, testing, adoption, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Present technical solutions and conduct demos for stakeholders and customers.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, architecture, and delivery teams while ensuring security, compliance, privacy, and governance requirements are met.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong programming skills in Python, Java, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP, REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, with strong problem‑solving, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Experience working directly with customers or business stakeholders.
• Experience with AI/ML, GenAI, LLMs, Agents, RAG, and enterprise AI deployments.
• Knowledge of observability, monitoring, troubleshooting, solution architecture, system integration, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, SQL/NoSQL databases, and API integration.
• Experience leading customer workshops or technical discovery sessions; exposure to healthcare, BFSI, or other regulated industries is preferred.
