Job summary

SGS India in Mumbai is seeking a seasoned Food Inspector to uphold seafood quality and regulatory compliance at client sites and processing plants.

You will conduct non-conformity reviews, audits, and documentation, and communicate findings to clients. The role requires deep knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and export documentation, with strong field presence and independence.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of seafood processing and quality control.
• Hands-on experience in seafood inspection / QA / QC.
• Knowledge of export quality requirements and seafood export documentation.
• Good understanding of HACCP, GMP, GHP, SSOP and food safety systems.
• Experience in preparing inspection and quality reports.
• Good communication and client coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently at processing plants, warehouses and client locations.
• Good analytical and documentation skills.

Responsibilities
