Key Responsibilities
System Specification: Select and size flow meters (Ultrasonic, Magmeter, Coriolis, Turbine, or Vortex) based on fluid properties, Reynolds numbers, and process conditions.
Commissioning & Calibration: Oversee onsite installation, loop testing, and wet/dry calibrations to ensure "Custody Transfer" standards are met.
Integration: Configure signal outputs (4-20mA, HART, Modbus/TCP) and integrate flow data into PLC, SCADA, or DeltaV systems.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose measurement drift, aeration issues, or signal noise in complex industrial environments.
Maintenance Strategy: Develop preventative maintenance schedules and verification protocols to minimize downtime and measurement uncertainty.
Technical Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation & Control Engineering.
Expertise: Deep understanding of Fluid Mechanics (viscosity, pressure drop, laminar/turbulent flow) and Signal Processing.
Standards: Familiarity with ISO 5167, AGA, or API standards for flow measurement.
