Job summary

Kotak Securities Limited is seeking a fixed income trader with 2–4 years of experience to execute and optimize bond trades across government and corporate instruments. The role requires strong market knowledge, analytical thinking, and the ability to work with brokers and internal teams.

Ideal candidates will have a degree in financial markets or commerce with at least 60% marks and may hold CFA/FRM/NISM certifications.

Responsibilities

• Execute fixed income trades across government bonds, corporate bonds, money market instruments and derivatives.
• Monitor live market activity to identify trading opportunities and negotiate best execution with brokers.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines during trade execution.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with market intermediaries and counterparties.
• Provide bond valuations before trading and input trades in the system within timelines.

• Execute fixed income tradesefficiently across a range of instruments, including government bonds,corporate bonds, money market instruments, and derivatives.
• Monitor live market activity,identify trading opportunities, and negotiate with brokers for bestexecution.
• Ensure compliance withregulatory and internal guidelines during trade execution.
• Maintain and strengthenrelationships with market intermediaries and counterparties.
• Should be well versed withmaking bond cash flows for g-sec, sdl, plain vanilla and/or structuredbonds.
• Market Research and Analysis
• Stay updated on macroeconomic trends, interest rate movements, andfixed income market developments.
• Provide insights and recommendations on yield curves, creditspreads, and market liquidity.
• Ensuring inputting of trades inthe system within prescribed timelines while coordinating withstakeholders.
• Provide Bond valuations beforetrading of bonds
• Necessary approvals (for buy /sell down) to be taken from authorized person for facilitating smoothtrades.
