Job summary

MAHLE Engine Comp. (IN) in Pithampur, IN is seeking a Fitter Cum Welder for Mechanical Maintenance. You will troubleshoot machine issues, implement CAPA, and support production with welding and fitting tasks on shop floors.

Ideal candidates have ITI in Fitter or Welding Trade, 3–4 years of shop-floor experience, and knowledge of IATF 16949, 5S, EHS; reading mechanical drawings essential; energy conservation mindset encouraged.

Qualifications

• Able to read mechanical drawings and interpret technical documents.

Your Contribution

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve machine-related issues and breakdowns in a timely manner, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Identify and implement machine improvements to increase production efficiency, reduce scrap rates, minimize waste, and lower costs, optimize the head counts.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including quality control, production, engineering, and R&D, to ensure smooth production flow and the successful integration of new technologies.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of the department.

Your Experience and Qualification

• ITI in Fitter or Welding Trade
• Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in Shop floor of Mechanical Maintenance work of Shop machines and Utility machines.
• Prefer the knowledge and experience of Foundry Industries.
• Preference will be given for experience of good knowledge of fabrication.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, 5S, EHS.
• Able to understand Mechanical drawings.
• Excellent organization time-management abilities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to read, understand and prepare electrical drawings.
• Ability of trouble shoot of the machine breakdowns with minimal time.
• Proven ability for Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems of the machines.
• Proven ability to have good welding skill.
• Data analysis skills for troubleshooting and resolving root cause analysis of machine defects.
• Regular execution of preventive maintenance as per planning.
• Find energy conservation opportunities in the plant.
• Have basic computer knowledge for departmental work.
