MAHLE in Pithampur is seeking an experienced Plant Utilities & Maintenance leader to oversee electrical distribution, energy management and preventive maintenance across foundry and machining operations.

You will supervise HT/LT systems, oil filtration programs, water management, and safety compliance, coordinating with CFT teams, suppliers, and contractors to ensure uptime and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Plant Utility Operations, including Oil Filtration Systems, Energy Management, and Electrical Substation Operations.
• Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Advanced Excel, Data Management, PowerPoint, and SAP.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, English fluency, and ability to coordinate with stakeholders and management.

Responsabilités

• Manage and maintain HT/LT electrical distribution systems.
• Operation and maintenance of 132 kV/33 kV/11 kV yards and substations.
• Ensure uninterrupted power supply to foundry and machining operations.
• Lead preventive & predictive maintenance, vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis.

Your Contribution

• Utility Management

• Manage and maintain HT/LT electrical distribution systems.
• Operation and maintenance of:
• 132 kV / 33 kV / 11 kV electrical yard and substations.
• DG Sets and synchronization panels.
• Ensure uninterrupted power supply to foundry and machining operations.

• Implement contamination control and oil life extension programs.
• ETP & STP Operations
• Ensure smooth operation of:
• Sewage Treatment Plant (STP).
• Comply with pollution control board norms and environmental regulations.
• Optimize water recycling and reuse initiatives.
• Monitor water quality parameters and treatment effectiveness.
• Coordinate environmental audits and compliance reporting.
• Foundry Utility Maintenance
• Utility support for:
• Dust Collection Systems.
• Cooling Systems.
• Ensure utility uptime to meet production requirements.
• Machining Utility Maintenance
• Support CNC and conventional machining operations.
• Maintain:
• Coolant systems.
• Hydraulic units.
• Compressed air systems.
• Chip handling systems.
• Building & Infrastructure Maintenance
• Manage maintenance of:
• Factory buildings.
• Administrative buildings.
• Roads and drainage systems.
• Warehouses.
• Utility structures.
• Annual maintenance planning and budgeting .
• Contractor management for civil work.
• Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
• Development and implement:
• Preventive Maintenance (PM).
• Predictive Maintenance (PdM).
• Breakdown Maintenance strategies.
• Vibration Analysis.
• Thermography.
• Oil Analysis.
• Ultrasonic Inspection.
• Improve MTBF and reduce MTTR.
• Monitor:
• Power Consumption.

• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and sustainability.
• Ensure compliance with:
• Electrical Safety Standards.
• Factory Act Requirements.

• Conduct safety audits and risk assessments.
• Lead emergency response planning and incident investigations.
• Identify utility related risks, like Oli filtration,
• Maintain risk logs and follow up with teams on mitigation actions.
• Escalate critical risks to the Process Manager early.
• Maintain confidentiality in handling pricing and customer-related data.
• Coordinate with suppliers for raw materials, forging & Casting suppliers, subcontract operations.
• Collaboration with CFT team members.

Your Experience and Qualification

• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 15 to 20 years’ experience in Foundry, Machining, Automotive Components, Heavy Engineering, or Manufacturing Industries.
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing plant utilities and maintenance functions
• Having knowledge IATF 16949, drawings, GD&T
• Prefer the knowledge and experience of automotive components, like Camshaft, Crankshaft etc….
• Preferring the experience of machining process like Shaft Grinding, Turning & Induction hardening.
• Additional certifications in Energy Management, TPM, Reliability Engineering, Safety, or Utility Management will be preferred.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Hands‑on experience in Plant Utility Operations, including Oil Filtration Systems, Energy Management, and Electrical Substation Operations.

Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Advanced Excel, Data Management, PowerPoint Presentations, and SAP.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate and convey information to stakeholders, cross‑functional teams, and management. Fluent in spoken and written English.

Strong organizational, planning, and time management abilities, capable of prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and managing multiple processes simultaneously.

Proven ability to handle multiple responsibilities and competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Highly motivated and passionate about continuous learning, with a keen interest in adopting new technologies, concepts, and process improvements.

Demonstrated capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment to achieve organizational goals.
