Job summary

TekPillar in Bengaluru is seeking a Firmware Test Automation Engineer with 3–8 years of hands-on experience to design and maintain Python-based test frameworks for embedded firmware. You will automate test executions, collect telemetry from CAN, Ethernet, and UDS interfaces, and work with firmware and hardware teams to ensure robust diagnostics and fault coverage.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of professional experience in firmware test automation.
• Proficiency in Python for building test frameworks.
• Experience with CAN, Ethernet, and diagnostic interfaces.
• Strong debugging skills with lab equipment and HIL setups.

Responsibilities

• Develop Python-based test automation frameworks for embedded firmware.
• Automate test execution, regression suites, and end-to-end validation.
• Acquire and analyze telemetry through CAN, Ethernet, and diagnostic interfaces.
• Implement fault detection, logging, DTC capture, and automated test reporting.
• Develop test flows for power sequencing, self-tests, load generation, and fault injection.
• Validate firmware diagnostics including POST, BIST, CPU/bus load, and voltage-fault handling.
• Work with firmware and hardware teams to convert requirements into automated test coverage.
• Perform low-level debugging using standard lab equipment and HIL/bench setups.
