Valuable Consulting And Technologies in Bengaluru seeks a Digital Power Control Design Engineer to develop control algorithms and their digital implementation for next‑gen power conversion hardware.

You will model power electronics in MATLAB/Simulink, design PWM and feedback loops, and work with MCU/DSP toolchains to realize high‑efficiency converters. Automotive drive experience and EMI considerations are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of power electronics /power conversion topologies and control.
  • Power control theory and MATLAB simulation environments.
  • MCU/DSP based software development on platforms with cross compilers and in-circuit debugging.
  • Proficiency with hardware debuggers, logic analyzers and ICE.
  • DSP components such as digital filters and adaptive signal processing.
  • Protocols/interfaces: I2C, CAN, RS485, LAN, MODBUS.
  • Advanced stability analysis for feedback loops is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job description

Job Description: Digital Power Control Design Engineers

will be responsible in developing control algorithms and digital implementation of the same for next generation of power conversion design. These include, bi-direction AC/DC/AC converters and inverters, 3 Ph automotive drives, AC/DC Power supplies . These products use Company;s advanced technologies to achieve industry leading high efficiencies and power densities while remaining cost competitive.

Modeling of power electronics circuits in MATLAB /SIMPLIS and developing most modern algorithms for state of art power conversion topologies.

Design requirements include supervisory controls/communications, PWM techniques, nonlinear / adaptive feedback for improved stability, failure prediction, frequency modulation for emi control, efficiency tuning for PFC standby/housekeeping supplies and DC/DC conversion.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Thorough knowledge of power electronics /power conversion topologies and control
  • Power Control theory & algorithms. simulation environment like MATLAB.
  • Microcontroller /DSP based software development on platforms like Microchip DSPIC-, Ti, Infineon using C/C++, Assembly language and the entire tool chain of cross compilers ,debuggers (BDM / JTAG) in circuit emulators.
  • Proficiency at use of Hardware debuggers, logic analyzers and ICE
  • Sound understanding of DSP components such as Digital filters, adaptive signal processing
  • Protocols /Interface such as I2C, CAN, RS485, LAN, MODBUS etc.
  • Advanced large signal stability analysis and techniques to stabilize feedback loops would be an added advantage

Qualifications: Master/ first class graduate engineering degree in any of the following disciplines: Electrical /Electronics/ Communication
