Job summary

Jobtailor in Hyderabad, India is seeking an experienced network security professional focused on Cisco ASA firewalls and VPNs to support daily operations, policy governance, and stakeholder engagement.

You will configure secure Site-to-Site IPsec VPNs, monitor security events, and collaborate with cyber teams to close gaps, while applying TCP/IP and routing knowledge to protect enterprise assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1+ years of experience with firewalls and VPN functionality.
• Expert-level Cisco ASA firewall configuration, including IKEv1/IKEv2 IPsec VPNs.
• Strong experience with Cisco Firepower (FTD) and FMC; TCP/IP and routing knowledge; security principles; relevant certifications (Network+, Security+, CISSP).

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Supporting daily operations, including internal/external stakeholder engagement and dotted-line leadership
• Maintaining enterprise-level security policies and rulesets using Cisco Firepower Management Center (FMC) and Adaptive Security Device Manager (ASDM)
• Supporting the configuration and deployment of secure and scalable Site-to-Site IPsec VPNs on Cisco ASA and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD)
• Monitoring traffic and security events to identify infrastructure gaps and collaborate with Cyber stakeholders on risk mitigation
• Partnering with internal stakeholders and vendors to integrate new business requirements into the firewall and VPN ecosystem
• Promoting an environment of collaboration and accountability in problem-solving

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• One or more years of experience in firewalls and VPN functionality
• Expert‑level proficiency with Cisco ASA firewalls, including CLI configuration of IKEv1/IKEv2 IPsec VPNs
• Strong experience with the Cisco Firepower (FTD) platform and Firepower Management Center (FMC)
• In‑depth understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and network security principles
• Certifications such as Network+, Security+, CISSP
