Job summary

Zydushospitals in Gujarat seeks a Fire and Safety Officer with a degree in Fire Safety Engineering and at least seven years of experience in hospital, hotel, mall or pharmaceutical industries to ensure proper functioning of all fire safety systems within the hospital.

You will coordinate with project teams, supervise installations, maintain compliance, train staff on fire prevention and disaster management, and coordinate licensing with local fire services, audits, and safety reports to meet

Qualifications

• Degree in Fire Safety Engineering is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project teams during Project Phase for smooth executions of Airconditioning jobs.
• Monitor installations as per BOQ/Design and its documentation.
• Ensure safety measures during project phase and its compliance.
• Ensure project deliverables meet hospital standards.
• Maintain all fire safety installations related to firefighting and fire alarm systems.
• Handle fire safety related complaints, renovations and projects.
• Assist other departments as required and perform other duties.
• Oversee fire safety installations, preventive maintenance schedules, daily safety rounds, and energy conservation initiatives within hospital.
• Maintain fire safety log books, stock inventory and material consumptions.
• Licensing work with local fire services.
• Arrange regular fire alarm tests and fire mock drills.
• Dispatch and accompany Quick Response Team (QRT).
• Train hospital staff on fire prevention, evacuation and disaster management.
• Prepare plans and provide fire and life safety mock drills and safety trainings.
• Conduct third party fire safety external audit timely as scheduled.
• Submit EHS reports, Legatrix, EIA and Environment safety forms annually in GPCB.
