Responsibilities
- Manages effective safety processes for the safety of building
- Maintain the correct operation of fire detection / protection system
- Carry out fire drills and educate the residents / tenants with regards to fire and rescue operations
- Supervise fire stock
- Maintains an awareness of other Fire personnel on detail for the purpose of protecting other Fire-fighter’s lives as necessary
- Conduct & impart the training to the staff, security, of the property
- Carry out the standard test of existing fire-fighting equipment
- Preparing fire & safety related reports, Planning-Risk Assessment & Effective safety strategies.
- Ensure a standard operation protocol of Fire & safety services.
- Maintains on-going communications with OM, Manager-Technical and other building related services staff
- Gains/maintains proficiency with property’s life safety system.
- Maintains and updates Safety Policies and Procedures manual
- Maintains a working knowledge of all current building fire and life safety code requirements.
- Ensure an effective emergency preparedness plan (i.e. fire, evacuations human crisis, etc.) in place.
- Communicate with PM/Tech Manager regarding events, incidents, concerns of Security Team members, recommendations, staffing needs, etc.
- Co-develops with the management staff operating guidelines and practices
- Establishes and updates project specific safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in science
- Qualified from National Fire service College with 5-10 yrs. experience
- Good knowledge of current fire suppression and fire- fighting techniques, including all related equipment
- Good knowledge of fire records systems, communications equipment and use, fire computer applications and fire reporting procedures
- Good knowledge of the principles and practices involved in emergency medical services
- Ability to use logical and creative thought processes to develop solutions for short term and long term Safety needs
- Ability to communicate well with others, both orally and in writing
- Ability to understand and follow oral and/or written policies, procedures and instructions
- Demonstrate integrity and inventiveness in the performance of assigned tasks
