Job summary

HN Safal seeks a seasoned Fire Officer to oversee fire safety operations across our high-rise facilities in Ahmedabad. You will manage inspections, drills, compliance, and coordination with internal teams and external agencies to ensure readiness and safety.

You will lead firefighting readiness, supervise safety personnel, maintain documentation, and drive improvements in emergency preparedness in line with regulations and HN Safal policies.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in fire safety, preferably in real estate, commercial buildings, construction, or large facilities.
• Strong knowledge of firefighting systems, fire prevention, emergency response, and evacuation procedures.
• Hands-on knowledge of hydrants, sprinklers, fire pumps, fire alarms, extinguishers, and other fire protection systems.
• Experience in conducting fire drills, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Knowledge of applicable fire safety regulations and statutory requirements.
• Experience in supervising fire safety teams and coordinating with contractors/vendors.
• Physically fit, alert, disciplined, and capable of handling emergency situations effectively.

About the Role

• Oversee day-to-day fire safety operations and ensure compliance with established procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify fire hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Ensure fire protection systems and equipment remain operational and readily accessible.
• Monitor fire extinguishers, hydrants, hose reels, fire alarms, sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and related equipment.
• Conduct and coordinate regular fire drills, mock drills, and emergency response exercises.
• Ensure emergency exits, escape routes, fire doors, and access areas remain clear and accessible.
• Lead and coordinate emergency response during fire and other critical incidents.
• Supervise Firemen and other fire safety personnel and ensure proper deployment.
• Coordinate with facility, security, maintenance, and project teams on fire safety requirements.
• Coordinate with fire system AMC contractors and service providers for inspection, testing, and maintenance.
• Maintain fire safety records, inspection checklists, drill reports, incident reports, and statutory documentation.
• Assist in obtaining and maintaining applicable fire safety approvals, certificates, and compliance requirements.
• Investigate fire incidents and near-misses and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct fire safety training and awareness sessions for employees and other personnel.
• Ensure compliance with HN Safals fire safety policies, SOPs, and applicable regulations.
• Report safety risks, system deficiencies, and major observations to senior management.

About You

• Diploma/Degree in Fire & Safety, Fire Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in fire safety, preferably in real estate, commercial buildings, construction, or large facilities.
