Job summary

Blue Yonder is seeking a FinOps-focused analyst to optimize cloud expenditure and manage software assets. You will analyze Azure costs, build automated dashboards, and apply AI/ML to forecast spend and detect anomalies.

You will also coordinate software renewals and contribute to gross margin improvements with data-driven recommendations. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in financial analysis or cloud cost management, strong SQL/Excel skills, and experience with Azure tools or Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, CS or related field.
• 3+ years in financial analysis, cloud cost management or SAM.
• Proficiency in SQL and Excel; Python a plus.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their financial applications.
• Hands-on experience with Azure cost management tools, Databricks, or Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Support cloud cost allocation, anomaly detection, and optimization analyses across Azure environments.
• Build and maintain automated reports and dashboards for FinOps visibility on cost, margin, and utilization.
• Leverage AI/ML techniques to enhance anomaly detection, forecast cloud spend, and identify opportunities at scale.
• Analyze cognitive product margins and contribute to gross margin improvements with data-driven recommendations.
• Maintain software asset inventory, licenses, entitlements, and consumption tracking.
• Coordinate third-party software renewals and ensure cost-effective renewals.
• Prototype AI-powered automation within FinOps and SAM workflows, incl. contract analysis and spend alerts.
• Collaborate with Finance, Engineering, Procurement, and IT to support cloud optimization and contract management.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Support cloud cost allocation, anomaly detection, and optimization analysis across Azure environments, translating usage data into actionable financial insights


• Build and maintain automated reports and dashboards to improve FinOps visibility across cost, margin, and utilization metrics for internal stakeholders


• Leverage AI and machine learning techniques to enhance anomaly detection, forecast cloud spend, and identify cost optimization opportunities at scale


• Analyze cognitive product margins and contribute to gross margin improvement initiatives through data-driven recommendations


• Maintain the software asset inventory, ensuring accurate tracking of licenses, entitlements, and consumption across the organization


• Manage the third-party software renewal calendar, coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective renewals


• Identify and prototype AI-powered automation opportunities within FinOps and SAM workflows - including contract analysis, license reconciliation, and spend alerting


• Partner with Finance, Engineering, Procurement, and IT teams to support both cloud optimization strategies and software contract management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field


• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, cloud cost management, software asset management, or a related role


• Proficiency in SQL and Excel; experience with Python is a plus


• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and tools - experience applying them to financial analysis, anomaly detection, or automation workflows is a strong plus


• Hands-on experience with Azure cost management tools, Databricks, or Power BI is preferred


• Understanding of software licensing models - including SaaS, subscription, consumption-based, and perpetual structures


• Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to present findings clearly to finance and non-finance audiences


• Experience in enterprise SaaS, cloud technology, or supply chain industry is a plus
