Tata Technologies Ltd. is seeking a Research Engineer to develop finite element models for advanced contact mechanics, thermomechanical modeling, and fluid-solid interaction. The role requires a PhD and strong research capabilities, with significant experience in building physics based modeling and Abaqus.

Formación

• PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• >3 years first-hand experience in building physics based models.
• >3 years modeling experience with Abaqus or similar FEM analysis software.
• Fundamental knowledge in contact mechanics, fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
• Demonstrated research capability such as publication in reputed engineering journals.
• Highly motivated to initiate project ideas and see through project deliverables.

Research Engineer, Finite Element Models

Description:

We are looking for a motivated engineer with solid technical background to develop finite element based model for advanced contact mechanics, thermomechanical model and fluid solid interaction. The scope of projects can be adjusted based on the individual we hire, but he/she needs to meet the following qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• PhD in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering discipline.
• > 3 years 1st hand experience in building physics based models.
• > 3 years modeling experience with Abaqus or similar FEM analysis software.
• Fundamental knowledge in contact mechanics, fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
• Demonstrated research capability such as publication in reputed engineering journals.
• Highly motivated to initiate project ideas and see through project deliverables. Passion for innovation.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Prior experience with lubrication and tribology.
• Prior experience solving solid-fluid interaction problem.
• Knowledge of coding using Python and/or Fortran.
