Job summary

Acuity Analytics in Pune is seeking a Financial Spreading Associate/Sr. Associate/Delivery Lead to join our Lending Services team. The role focuses on analyzing and spreading financial statements for credit appraisal and reporting.

You will work from office in Pune, leveraging deep knowledge of financial statements, credit principles, and MS Excel to deliver accurate analyses and client-ready deliverables while ensuring adherence to SLAs and regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

• MBA (Finance) / M.Com / CA (CPA equivalent) / CFA required.
• 3+ years experience in spreading and covenant monitoring.
• Strong understanding of credit principles, policies, and regulations.
• Proficient in MS Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Organizational skills with multitasking and deadlines.
• Experience with US-based bank a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and spread financial statements on various platforms.
• Analyze Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow for credit appraisal.
• Review property operating statements, budgets, proforma statements, tax returns and audited statements.
• Review supplementary schedules, notes, MD&A for details.
• Normalize financial statements for non-recurring items to derive true profitability.
• Understand US CRE industry across property types.
• Compute Adjusted Net Worth, recurring cash flows, debt service, contingent liabilities and other metrics.
• Monitor covenant compliance and reporting.
• Support project scoping, end-to-end workflow, MIS reporting; ensure SLA adherence.
• Identify efficiency and process-improvement opportunities.
• Communicate with client to manage expectations.

Job Purpose

We are looking for a dedicated and motivated individual who has strong technical, analytical and organizational skills for our Lending Services team.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyzing and spreading the financial statements on various financial platforms
• Analysis of financial statements including Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement of public and private companies for the credit appraisal process
• Knowledge of Property Operating Statements, Budget / Proforma statements, Tax Returns, Audited Annual statements
• Going through the supplementary schedules of Annual report, notes, Budget, QSR reports, and MD&A for the detailed breakups and adjustments
• Normalizing the financial statements for exceptional and non-recurring items to arrive at the true profitability figures
• Knowledge of U.S. Commercial Real Estate (CRE) industry across property types - Multifamily, Affordable Housing, Office, Retail, Industrial, etc.
• Calculating the Adjusted Net Worth, Recurring Cash Flows, Annual Debt Service, Contingent Liabilities, custom ratios and other financial metrics
• Monitor Covenant compliance and reporting
• Support with project scoping, end-to-end workflow management, MIS reporting, etc. Responsible for adherence to client SLAs and Policies
• Identify ways for improvement in efficiency gains and process improvement
• Regular communication with the client to ensure the expectations are met

Key Competencies
