Job summary

Acuity Analytics in Bangalore is seeking an experienced Covenant Monitoring & Compliance professional to monitor loan covenants, review borrower documents, and calculate covenant ratios. The role supports risk teams, prepares reports, and maintains monitoring systems.

The ideal candidate holds MBA Finance, CA, or CFA, with 3–12 years of covenant monitoring, advanced Excel skills, and strong communication; US bank experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• MBA in Finance, CA or CFA credentials.
• 3–12 years of spreading and covenant monitoring experience.
• Strong understanding of credit principles, policies, and regulations.
• Proficient in Advanced MS Excel.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Experience of working for a US based bank will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Covenant Monitoring & Compliance: Monitor financial and non-financial covenants for assigned loan portfolios.
• Review borrower-submitted financial statements, compliance certificates, and other required documentation.
• Calculate financial covenant ratios and assess compliance against thresholds.
• Track covenant due dates and ensure timely receipt of borrower information.
• Identify and document covenant breaches or potential exceptions.
• Risk Assessment & Analysis: Conduct variance analysis and identify early warning signals.
• Escalate covenant breaches, waivers, amendments, and high-risk observations to stakeholders.
• Support credit risk teams in evaluating covenant-related findings.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain covenant monitoring systems and databases.
• Prepare periodic compliance reports, exception reports, and dashboards.
• Ensure documentation of covenant reviews, calculations, and approvals.
• Support audits with required documentation.
