• Degree in accounting or finance.
• 5–7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• At least 1 year of management experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with Workiva and Netsuite is preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel with large data sets; SQL a plus.
• Experience in a public company environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
• Proactive mindset for process improvements.

Job Description:

Our Accounting team is hiring for a proactive and motivated Financial Reporting Manager/ Sr. Manager. The focus will be on external and internal financial reporting as well as being involved in the corporate ledger accounts. This person will work seamlessly across various departments to obtain the required information to close the books as well as prepare disclosures. .

Responsibilities

• Work on quarterly 10-Q’s and annual 10-K’s for SEC financial reporting as well as build out required disclosures and supporting schedules for footnotes, MD&A, and 8-K’s/earnings release
• Work on monthly financial reporting for our different regulatory and credit stakeholders
• Participate in month end closing by taking ownership of key corporate level accounts
• Collaborate with team members to provide useful and necessary financial reports
• Create and review journal entries in the GL along with preparing and reviewing supporting schedules
• Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations including investigating aged or unreconciled items
• Investigate and resolve both current and historical issues with our revenue transactions
• Implement accounting guidance for new accounting standard updates or initiatives
• Identify areas for improvement and drive process improvements
• Work with our external auditors to ensure the timely completion of reviews and audits
• Educate coworkers regarding financial practices, implications, and policies
• Provide ad hoc analysis support to business leaders and key partners for complex accounting questions
• Serve as a mentor and resource to more junior team members

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting or finance
• 5-7 years of experience in an accounting firm or in-house at a company
• At least 1 year of management experience
• Experienced knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Working Knowledge of Workiva
• Adaptable to multiple and frequent changes in business environment
• Proven expertise with Excel (combining large data sets, sumifs, index/match, vlookups, etc); familiarity with SQL a plus
• Experience working with Netsuite a plus
• Experience working at a public company
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, without losing attention to detail
• Proactively looking to improve on processes; never satisfied with the status quo
• Stakeholder management skills
• Experience with industries such as financial technology, mortgage banking, or lending a plus
