Job summary

Citi in India is seeking a Fund Accounting & Financial Reporting lead. You will oversee a team handling fund accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory disclosures under IFRS and US GAAP, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

You will drive process improvements, mentor staff, and coordinate with stakeholders across funds, derivatives, and fixed income. A strong leadership track record is essential, with willingness to work shifts.

Qualifications

• 5–11 years of experience in fund accounting/financial reporting for hedge funds or mutual funds.
• 2–4 years of team handling experience.
• Strong understanding of derivatives, equities and fixed income securities.
• Qualified accountant or strong working experience in financial reporting.
• Knowledge of mutual fund and hedge fund industries.
• Experience in preparing financial statements under IFRS/US GAAP/Lux GAAP/Irish GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/review financial statements and regulatory reports (Balance sheet, PnL, SOI, notes).
• Act as subject matter expert for the team.
• Follow US GAAP, IFRS, Lux GAAP, Irish GAAP.
• Ensure process initiatives and efficiency gains.
• Develop strong, pro-active relationships with internal and external customers.
• Manage and build a strong team.
• Prepare MIS and meet SLAs.
• Be a good team player with interpersonal skills.
• Be willing to work in shifts and flexible hours as per process requirements.

Job description

Desired Candidate Profile :

• 5-11 years of experience in Fund accounting/ Financial Reporting for hedge funds or mutual funds.
• Should have 2-4 years of team handling experience.
• Should have sound understanding of Derivatives, Equities and Fixed income securities.
• Qualified accountant or/and strong working experience in financial reporting will be preferred.
• Should have knowledge of Mutual fund and Hedge Fund industry.
• Should have worked on Financial Reporting profile, responsible for preparation and presentation of various financial statements as per IFRS, US GAAP, Lux GAAP or Irish GAAP, etc.
• Prior working experience in BPO/captive on capital markets back office processes.
• Experience and expertise in Business Areas- Middle Office Processing, Financial Reporting, Fund accounting
• Experience in process set-up/migration of work from onshore would be preferred

Key Responsibilities / Functions / Role:

• Preparation/review of financial statements/regulatory reports like- Balance sheet, PnL, SOI, Notes to financial statements. Understanding of regulatory disclosures like form PF
