Job summary

Citi seeks a seasoned fund accounting and financial reporting professional for hedge funds or mutual funds, with 5–11 years in the field and 2–4 years in team leadership. The role covers preparation/review of financial statements and regulatory reports, plus strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, Lux GAAP or Irish GAAP, and derivatives, equities, and fixed income.

A qualified accountant or equivalent experience is preferred; capital markets back-office exposure and willingness to work in shifts are

Qualifications

• 5-11 years of experience in fund accounting/financial reporting for hedge funds or mutual funds.
• 2-4 years of team handling experience.
• Sound understanding of derivatives, equities and fixed income securities.
• Qualified accountant or strong working experience in financial reporting will be preferred.
• Knowledge of mutual fund and hedge fund industry; exposure to IFRS, US GAAP, Lux GAAP or Irish GAAP.
• Experience in BPO/captive back-office processes; background in Middle Office Processing, Financial Reporting, Fund accounting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/review financial statements/regulatory reports (Balance sheet, PnL, SOI, notes to financial statements).
• Understand regulatory disclosures and act as SME for the team.
• Follow US GAAP, IFRS, Lux GAAPs and Irish GAAPs.
• Ensure process initiatives and efficiency gains.
• Develop strong relationships with internal and external customers; manage and build a team.
• Prepare MIS; meet SLAs.
• Be a good team player and adapt to shifts as needed.

Job description

Desired Candidate Profile :

5-11 years of experience in Fund accounting/ Financial Reporting for hedge funds or mutual funds. Should have 2-4 years of team handling experience. Should have sound understanding of Derivatives, Equities and Fixed income securities. Qualified accountant or/and strong working experience in financial reporting will be preferred. Should have knowledge of Mutual fund and Hedge Fund industry. Should have worked on Financial Reporting profile, responsible for preparation and presentation of various financial statements as per IFRS, US GAAP, Lux GAAP or Irish GAAP, etc. Prior working experience in BPO/captive on capital markets back office processes. Experience and expertise in Business Areas- Middle Office Processing, Financial Reporting, Fund accounting Experience in process set-up/migration of work from onshore would be preferred

Key Responsibilities / Functions / Role:

Education

B. Com, M. Com, Post graduate Degree from a recognized business institute/university, majorly in Accounting or Finance.

Professional qualifications

like CA, CFA, and CPA will be an added advantage.
