Job summary

HP Development Company, L.P. in India seeks an experienced Planning Finance leader to drive financial planning, forecasting, performance analysis, and decision support for the organization.

This role partners with APJ Supply Chain, Operations, Planning, Category, Commercial, and Executive teams to deliver actionable insights that optimize revenue, profitability, inventory, working capital, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Four-year or graduate degree in business, economics or finance.
  • Typically 7–10 years of work experience in financial management or related field.
  • CPA or CFA preferred; Power BI or analytics certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Leads or provides expertise to cross‑functional project teams and participates in initiatives.
  • Serve as trusted advisor to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Influence business decisions through data‑driven finance insights.
  • Guide process improvements and establish policies.
  • Collaborate with leaders to guide strategic decision‑making.
  • Perform complex financial analysis to achieve objectives.
  • Lead analysts across multiple finance sub‑functions.
  • Forecast results and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Represent the business unit in cross‑regional planning processes.
  • Represent the organization to external customers and clients.
  • Develop internal/external working relationships and mentor staff.

Job Summary

The Planning Finance role is a strategic finance leader responsible for driving financial planning, forecasting, business performance analysis, and decision support to across the organization. This role partners closely with APJ Supply Chain, Operations, Planning, Category, Commercial, and Executive Leadership teams to deliver actionable insights that optimize revenue, profitability, inventory, working capital, and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter with a strong growth mindset, exceptional analytical capabilities, and the ability to influence decisions across multiple organizational levels. This individual proactively identifies opportunities, leads complex financial initiatives, drives process transformation, and develops scalable financial solutions that enable business growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and participates in cross-functional initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Influence business decisions through data-driven insights and financial expertise.
  • Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies.
  • Collaborates with business leaders to guide and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope.
  • Performs complex and occasionally highly complex financial analysis for a financial function or business, utilizing strong business understanding to achieve objectives effectively.
  • Leads and drives business initiatives, overseeing analysts across multiple sub-functions within finance.
  • Forecasts financial results within a broad scope and identifies opportunities for process improvement and policy development, actively engaging in their design and implementation.
  • Represents the business unit during cross-regional or cross-functional planning processes.
  • Represents the organization to external customers and clients.
  • Applies advanced subject matter knowledge, leads, and contributes to complex projects, and exercises independent judgment in resolving business issues and establishing policies.
  • Develops and builds productive internal/external working relationships and provides mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees.
Education & Experience Recommended
  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in financial management, internal audit, accounting, or a related field.
